Always one for bigging up the talented females out there...A former London grime producer who found in Bristol and adsorbed quivering techno inspiration when she moved to Berlin, Emika is going to be one of 2010s most compelling female artists. Just one listen to her 'Drop The Other EP' - released on 18th January, was pretty much all it took to convince. Its delicate pop with an edge, intricate and eerie. 'Drop the Other' mummers and rises - leaving you in a quivering state of euphoria Emika mixes classical pianos with skittering beats, seeping dub bases. For something with a bit more of a classic club sound check out the GeRM remix below. Her full album is due later this year so keep an ear out for Emika's techno influenced pop sounds.
