Soundtrack from the weekend....

The Mods had designer suits, Italian scooters and The Who. Rockers had leathers, motorbikes and Elvis and last week i had a bit of a 1960's musical binge playing everything from The Who, The Rolling Stones, Small Faces, The Yardbirds to name just a few! Some say that Mod died in 1963, but in my opinion it was in 1965 that it really started to make impact...with the combination of images of the Brighton beach riots and some signature releases from one of the original Mod bands: The Who all coming together to cement its time in history...there were several films on the go last weekend..and while im sure most of you have seen this i just wanted to drop it into your minds once more....buy it, rent it and definitely pick up the soundtrack!

If you haven't seen the film yet, I suggest you do. A true british classic and the directing debut from Franc Roddam its a must see...but even if its not your type of thing i suggest you give it a casual watch just for the comedy portrayal from a very weedy Phil Daniels of a young Mod of his tits on pills and a strangely attractive young Ray Winstone...

Next weekend....i don't know but it definitely wont be 'Spice World The Movie' and the 90's girl power movement just yet...The nineties is Not Vintage yet please.
