It may have been the weekend before payday and the bank balance may have be at the wrong end of rich, but that wasn't my excuse for doing absolutely nothing this weekend....instead i decided to take a bit of time out. So among watching endless 80's movies all pretty much based around drugs, sex and partying (i was living my weekend through these films!), a few classic gems including 'Anchorman', painting and reading books on Paul Weller, The Sex Pistols, detoxing and yoga i took a little trip to newly opened gallery / space, 10.
Tucked away and set in the the arches near Bethnal Green Tube station, 10 is a beautiful little multifunction space for artists, designers and all of those who love creativity. Showcasing a range of different artists in a quaint little gallery (currently on is John Lee Bird with Trashy Queen) it also hosts a coffee shop and vintage fashion/designer boutique. Most recently they set up 'cut and go' hair salon on Saturdays and Sundays - run by two amazing hairdressers you can only book appointments the week before but they only cost £5!! Head over to their Facebook page to find out more and message them for hair appointments - they book up pretty fast and with word spreading I suggest you head their now!
