Delooze began as a collaboration between an enchanting singer-songwriter longing to place her voice in this confusing musical age, with an unusual electronic musician tired of years of unfocussed experimentation. Drawing upon a creative melting pot of influences from David Bowie to Clint Mansell, the result is a wonderful (recorded and live) mixture of modern electronic twists and synths, classical sounds and haunting yet stunning 'Kate Bush' esque vocals (courtesy of beautiful lead Stacey Delooze). When you listen to this band expect to be entranced and taking back to a time of witch hunts, magic and mystical forests. I first stumbled upon Delooze on one very slightly deborturous gig in London back in 2009 and they more than impressed, so i dropped them a little line and a few questions for an interview on Conversemusic.co.uk. Since then ive been keeping up to date and in touch with the band and 2010 looks like its going to be pretty exciting. The guys have recently signed with uber cool label Gash! and are currently working hard on getting some more material together, with their single expected in April. Apart from producing some fresh soulful sounds, these guys are lovely, so fingers crossed they get the creds they deserve, and expect more on them here when they announce their forthcoming single release! This has to be one of my favourite tracks, if not for the name alone!
